Mistral’s Product Engineering Team offers turnkey FPGA design services specializing in handling complex, multi-million gate designs for FPGAs from Xilinx, Actel, Altera, Quicklogic, Lattice and Cypress.

Mistral is a Certified Member of the Xilinx Alliance Program and has a strong FPGA design-to-deployment capability. At Mistral, the team constantly strives to innovate and implement turnkey integrated embedded solutions keeping pace with technology progress and matching them to customer requirements.
With the inclusion of ARM cores into FPGAs, users can now get the benefits of an SoC, along with the flexibility and power of an FPGA making these devices very attractive for several embedded applications reducing overall system size and power consumption while increasing performance. Current generation FPGAs also come in 3 Dimensional silicon which use Stacked silicon Interconnect, leading to high density and high performance FPGAs. Xilinx Ultrascale and Ultrascale+ belong to this league.

FPGAs also offer an advantage of testing and verifying a concept in hardware without passing through the long fabrication process required for an ASIC. It also brings in the advantage of having a highly reconfigurable system. Engineers can then make changes and can run number of iterations on an FPGA within hours, rather than in weeks. As design requirements often change over a period of time, the cost of implementing these incremental changes to FPGAs are almost negligible as compared to the large expense associated as ASICs.The FPGA design services offered by Mistral include designing, building and deploying customized FPGA based solutions which integrates both custom FPGA firmware and hardware engineering.
